If you have a video of your dog(s), you can easily add this to your stud or dog for sale ads. Adding a video brings another level of interactivity to your ad and ads with videos tend to get the most engagement. You can show the dogs playing with their siblings, or have a longer explanation about the breed and your dog. You will do the following steps:
- upload your video to www.youtube.com/upload
- set the video will need to be Public or Unlisted (Private videos can not be embedded).
Simply put in the URL for your video in your ad description after clicking the video button and dogs.ie will take care of the rest!

Steps to add a video
In your ad description you can click the video button
And paste in the link to your YouTube video, e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcBkvpKii1s
YouTube Shorts
For shorter vertical videos, YouTube may put your video into their “Shorts” version of their website. You will get a link like
- https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0b3qZ-r8FUI
If you take the last part of the link, in this case 0b3qZ-r8FUI and add that to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v= you will have a link that you can embed, such as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcBkvpKii1s that you can now embed as normal.
